September Playgroup

We went to Gran's house for September playgroup.  It was our first playgroup to go to without Anthony...he was at preschool.  So, it was a little different only keeping up with one.  We had a ball; we always love coming here.  It's so peaceful and feels like you're way out in the country, although it's about 10 minutes away from where we live!

all the kiddos...
it's challenging to get a good picture these days!

picnic lunches in the yard

me and Lucas on the big swing

i think this horsey swing is so cute!  it hangs from the tree...
the kids all love it!

Thanks for having us, Gran (and Jill)!!!  Let's do it again soon!

First Day of Preschool!!!

On September 4, 2012, Anthony had his very first day of school--preschool!  He was so excited!  He didn't fully know what to expect, but he loves learning!  I knew he would do great, but it felt so strange for me to be just sending him off!  I can't believe I already have a 4 1/2 year old on my hands!

We took some photos before we left the house that morning...

holding his preschooler sign

so handsome

love that smile

on his way

gettin' a little silly

joyful

i'm sure he's wondering what all the fuss is about

love this one

"is it time to go yet?"

"bye, mom!"

his first lunch...
turkey, yogurt, cheese, goldfish, almonds, tangerine, cucumbers, and oreos!

in front of his building at First Baptist Learning Center

they have a huge fish tank in the lobby--
both boys love to say good morning to the fish

he's ready...but is mommy???
he looks like such a big boy!

we got there a little early, so we had to wait in the lobby...
they love playing with these wood beads

when it was time, he went right in his class, did what he was supposed to do, and headed straight for the play kitchen...
i think he'll be just fine!  :)

getting back in the car with only one baby...how strange
after we drop anthony off, i always say to lucas, "just me and you!"

heading home...
bye anthony!  can't wait to see you in a few hours!

Morning Sleepyheads

They love their daddy and their "bunnies"
oh, and i guess Tigger too!

I cherish these days of snuggles and sticking-up hair!

Anthony's "Meet the Teacher" Night

At the end of August, Anthony had "Meet the Teacher" night at his new preschool.  He is attending First Baptist Learning Center, the preschool at First Baptist Church of McKinney.  He'll be going twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15-2:15.

on the way to the school--he is so excited

Anthony met both his teachers, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Jenna.
His task was to decorate his folder with stickers while munching on a special treat from his teachers.

He got to explore his classroom and play with the freeplay toys.
Lucas was so happy to play by his side.
Lucas is excited for him, but I wonder how he'll be during the day without his favorite friend--his brother.

In front of the big apple in his classroom.
We couldn't snag his teachers for a picture because they were so busy meeting all the kids and talking with the parents.

16 students in his class--4 girls and the rest boys!!!

His class schedule--
I have to say, the school itself as well as his teachers are super organized.  I love how structured his day is.

All of the students' names on the owl board.
We can't wait to see what next week holds!
Stay tuned!!!

Rounding Out Our Summer

We love the last of the lazy days of summer!!! Nonna and Nonno sent down a summer fun package, complete with a slip-n-slide!  These guys had a blast--their first time on a slip-n-slide!  Even daddy joined in on the fun!

Uncle Benny came for a visit mid-August as well!
They thought that playing with him was the best!
