On May 16, 2013, Anthony had his special graduation from preschool. The entire program was put together really well and was even able to be streamed live through the internet so his far-away grandparents could see him as well.
The theme of the graduation was "Oh, The Places You'll Go" from the Dr. Seuss book of the same name
Lucas was eagerly waiting for big brother to enter the auditorium and step up on the stage.
He kept saying, "Where's Anthony? I don't see him yet!"
Here he is performing his first song--
If you can't find him, he's on the bottom row, second from the left.
They had video clips from the book and also video clips interviewing many of the children. In one interview, Anthony got asked the question, "What kinds of things do you pray about?" His answer was, "I pray that God will help my big toe to feel better." (The interview most definitely had taken place the week he stubbed his toe at home, and he was having a hard time running on it in his favorite class--fitness!)
waiting patiently for his turn to walk across the stage
so proud!
we LOVED his teachers, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Jenna
One more song with all the four and five year olds
love how he knows all the motions!
back in his classroom
One last picture with his teachers before he says his final goodbyes...
His teachers wrote him a note at the end of the schoolyear, and they told him that they loved listening to his prayers in the classroom. :)
our attempt at a family photo
anthony with good buddy kai...
The entire first half of the year, he and Kai sat at the same table. When I asked him about his day, Anthony would tell me that Kai brought bacon and blue jello in his lunch every day! It became our funny ritual--"Anthony, what did Kai bring for lunch today?" And always the same answer (laughing, of course), "Bacon and blue jello--AGAIN!" Haha!
Anthony and sweet friend Caleb
Caleb will be joining Anthony next year at Lucas Christian Academy for Kindergarten!
We are so excited to deepen our friendship with his sweet family!
The end of the year is bittersweet...
So sad to leave, but looking forward to summer and kindergarten!
