Happy Halloween!!!

We had some friends join us for trick-or-treating this year...My friend Jenn from work, her fiance Joe, and her son Brody. Brody is 10 days younger than Anthony. Anthony wore his skeleton bones costume, and Brody was a shark. We all had so much fun, and the boys loved it!!!

Posing together before we left the house

Sitting in the wagon with our "frankenstein" pumpkins, ready to go

Anthony LOVED carrying his pumpkin around all night

He was such a big boy that he ran on ahead of Mommy

He wanted to do it all by himself
(I think this was the house that scared him! The hanging bats would shake and move when anyone walked by, and they had some creepy sounds and music.)

Pointing out all the pumpkins (or "papples" as he calls them...like "apple" with a "p"!)

Daddy letting Anthony ring the doorbell.

"Yay! We got some more candy!"

Loving on my Daddy

Brody waiting for Anthony in the wagon

Mommy letting me eat "nerds" for the first time!

Enjoying the "fruit" of our labor
What's the fun in going trick-or-treating if you can't eat the candy?!?

Just enjoying our friends

Pumpking Carving!

We were kinda rushed at the last minute carving our pumpkin the day of Halloween (right before some friends showed up to go Trick-or Treating with us)!!! However, we didn't want Anthony to miss out now that he's old enough to enjoy the experience! So, we did a "fly by the seat of your pants" carving from a template I printed from the computer. The final result didn't really look that great in the daylight, but it did look kinda cute all lit up at night!

Sweet boy sitting with his pumpkin

Definitely warm enough for shorts and T-shirt!

"Wow! What's Daddy doing?"

Okay, for those who freak out about sharp objects (Mandy), the knife was nowhere close to his hand!!!

"Well, here goes nothing!"

"Hmmmm, this is interesting..."

"Whoa! What IS this stuff???"

Anthony "stirring" the pumpkin while Mommy collects the seeds (which by the way, never got toasted. They just sat in our fridge until I got tired of looking at them; then they got thrown out! Oh, the aspirations I have on my to-do list that never come to be!)

He definitely liked using the spoon better than using his hands!

The "not so cute" end result!

Hey, what do ya know...He's kinda cute!!!

Fall Festival

We went to the Fall Festival at our church (Stonebriar Community Church) a little before Halloween. I don't know what I was expecting, exactly, but it didn't really go down as I had planned it out in my mind!!! (see pictures below)

Happy boy in his costume with his pumpkin
(desperately needing a haircut, I might add!)

Sweet baby

Anthony in the bounce house trying to get his friend Brody to come join him

Anthony was loving it! We were trying to "push" Brody in...he was somewhat reluctant

Anthony didn't really jump since there were so many big kids in there. But he enjoyed sitting and bouncing and watching!

This is me trying to console my crying baby after it was time for him to come out.
The rest of the evening consisted of one temper tantrum and meltdown after another!
Where did my sweet baby go?

I know you can only see one of my eyes in this picture, but this is me telling my sweet husband (without words) to put the stinkin' camera down and help me get this kid outta here!!!

There was alot to do, but there were soooooooo many kids running around that it was too overwhelming for Anthony. And most of them were big kids too--there wasn't much geared toward the "under 2" age group. We hit two bounce houses, and that was about all we managed before the craziness set in. In Anthony's defense, the entire festival was scheduled for right around his bedtime!

Oh well! Maybe next year will go a little more smoothly!!! (yeah, right...I'll have two by then! haha!!!)

Playing in the Dryer

Ok, I'm sooooooooooooo behind on my postings that I hardly know where to begin!!! My plan is to try to post at least once per night over the next week or so to catch up!

Here's my sweet boy "helping" me with the laundry. Basically, I take a load out of the dryer, and he climbs in to play! He loves the dryer balls that fluff up the clothes! And, in case you were wondering, yes, he does have a diaper on!!! (Unlike his mommy who used to take her diaper off before she climbed into the dryer to play!)

Cousins in Costume

Here are Anthony and sweet Baby James in their Halloween costumes. You wouldn't believe how many pictures we had to take to get a shot of them both smiling!!!

Josh and Michelle's Wedding Reception

The first weekend in October we held a wedding reception in Memphis in honor of Michelle and Josh's marriage this summer. We had so much fun putting it all together. I think it was a huge success! Best wishes for their first year of marriage!!!

Michelle and Josh with Anthony
(don't they make the cutest couple!?!)

The three sisters

The whole family

Me, Mario, and the new baby!

Anthony loving on his MeMe

Anthony found a new best friend in cousin Landon. They entertained each other at the reception!

Mario talking to Josh's uncle Benjamen. They each thought the other was "so cool"!
(inside family joke, but they both really are!!!)

Our family

Gotta Keep Dancing!

Like father, like son, right??? Here Mario is teaching Anthony some more new dance moves...or is it the other way around??? ;)

All the friends in our cheerleading past will appreciate this one!
