Sitting on My Own!

It's hard to tell in these pictures what's going on, so let me narrate for you. Anthony is sitting on the floor with his legs out in front of him--all by himself!!! The first pic is how he started out...propped up by his hands. In the second pic, he decided he wanted to reach for a toy, so he started slowly to slump foward until he was practically in a pike position!

I promise I'll put better pictures on the blog when Mario brings the camera home from South Africa...or when he buys me my own!!! :)

Anthony Watches the Olympics

We've been watching the Olympic opening ceremonies around here. Anthony was a little enthralled by the TV...I usually don't let him watch, but since he's absorbing some Chinese culture, I let it slide this time!!! ;) We'll definitely have our eyes on the gymnasts over the next few days.

Again, sorry about the dark pics! (Mario has our camera off in South Africa, so I've had to use my cell phone lately).

Highchair Ready to Go!!!

Here's a picture of Anthony's highchair...mom and I put it together today. The lighting in this picture is so poor that you really can't see how cute it is, but it is precious!!! It's an Eddie Bauer dark wood chair with a blue and brown plaid cushion. This is probably the cleanest we'll ever see it!!! Haha! We're going to let him try it out tomorrow! Maybe I'll post a pic of him actually in it soon!!!

I Love Bread--Yum!!!

I went to Panera Bread today to catch up with some of my favorite gals from Dr. Goebel's office! I gave Anthony his first piece of bread to try since he was eyeing Staci's bagel. He went to town on the bread! I'm going to have to start that kid on some solid food!!! He was like a bread maniac, pulling Carly's arm closer toward his face so he could get more in his mouth!!! It was a soggy mess at the end, but he loved it! He even started fussing when Jenn accidently dropped the bread on the floor--Haha! Here's a play by play of the bread tasting...

Thanks for a great lunch date, girls! We should've gotten a pic of the four of us together!!! We were too enthralled with Anthony's bread-munching...Maybe next time!

Anthony Sitting on the Couch

Here are a couple of pictures of Anthony "sitting" on the couch! He still just stares at the camera!!! Haha! I tried to get him to smile, so we got a half smile in the top picture. The bottom pic looks like he's posing or just chilling out! So cute! We have to find ways to entertain ourselves while Daddy's gone and while it's too hot to go outside!!!

Bamboccio

Here's our "bamboccio" as Mario calls him ("chubby baby" in Italian). Sorry the picture is dark...this was when our power went out earlier today. We were playing on the floor, and I just couldn't resist a snapshot...he is so cute! Every time he sees that camera coming, he stops smiling and just stares!!! Tomorrow will be 5 months since he entered this world...he is growing up too fast!!!
